JMT Consulting Group is a company that recognizes and appreciates the contribution that each team member makes. Founded almost 30 years ago, we're a small business, and the leading consulting firm in the country working exclusively with nonprofit organizations. We continue to grow every year and are looking to expand our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.


The Planning Analyst is a highly technical role responsible for creating budget and financial planning models and providing support and light training to JMT’s nonprofit organization clients. We are seeking a candidate who is motivated to learn quickly and has the potential to grow further in the software consulting practice at JMT.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

● Configure and implement Financial Planning and Analysis software for non-profit clients

● Maintain a strong analyst foundation building financial planning models

● Troubleshoot issues and communicate solutions to non-technical clients

● Exercise sound judgment to independently define, investigate and resolve problems/conflicts

● Ability to deal tactfully, efficiently, and professionally with internal and external clients

● Ability to manage multiple assignments, determine and organize priorities, and work independently with minimal supervision/direction.


Required Qualifications:

● Minimum of 2 years of business finance or FP&A experience

● Minimum of 1 year of experience with FP&A software

● Experience with Martus, Vena, or Sage Intacct Planning, preferred

● Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions

● BA, BS, of B. Com degree required (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)

● Strong analytical and data gathering skills

● Exposure to financial modeling techniques a plus Qualities of a Successful JMT team member:
