TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type: Travel

Unit: NICU/PED Transport

Active WA/Compact License
Certs Required: BLS, PALS, NRP; TNCC & STABLE Preferred. 
Experience Required: 5 years in PEDS ED/PICU and Level IV NICU (Must have 1 year of each) Plus at least 3 years of neonatal/peds transport experience within the last 5 years. 
Supports interhospital transport via ground or air, airway management, vasoactive drips/infusion, non-invasive ventilation (Bipap/HFNC), respiratory inhaled medication administration, IV/IO access, etc.

Scrub Color: any, no hooded shirts/long sleeves must be able to be pull above elbow

Patient Types: Pediatric and Neonatal patients; common diagnosis included HIE, ppHN, asthma, respiratory illness, sepsis, DKA, other metabolic disorders, trauma (accidental and non-accidental), ingestions, congenital heart defects, cancer, NEC, etc.

Floating: when not transporting, will help in units where there is a need; may also work as helping hands.
