Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. ReStores are independently owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity Affiliates. Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in local communities and around the world.
As a Non CDL Driver you are responsible for driving, and requires lifting and moving large appliances, furniture, boxes, pallets and other goods from donor locations into the truck and unloading the items at the ReStore for Donation Processing.
Pay: $18.00/hour
Job Description
This position drives a HFH truck to pick up and deliver donated goods.
  • Use Vonigo software to properly record data acquired while out picking up merchandise.
  • Lifting and moving large items such as furniture, appliances, boxes, pallets, and other goods into the truck and unloading the items.
  • Communicating with ReStore Manager regarding deliveries.
  • Drive company vehicles to pick-up and deliver merchandise.
  • Clear out Donation Processing area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
  • Ability to spend most of the day in a truck
  • Ability to work in a warehouse
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with ReStore staff, customers, and others
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess self-starter and customer service skills

This Position is Non-Exempt. Drivers are expected to work 40 hours a week. The position starts at $18.00 per hour.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years, clean motor vehicle driving record, and must maintain a good driving record while employed (Specific guidelines based on Habitat Insurance requirements)
  • Complete pre-hire required checks (Criminal Background, License, etc.)
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Pass a DOT Medical Card/Certification
