Your Role at Sephora:

As Manager of Store Design, you'll be the creative force behind Sephora's iconic retail environments, ensuring every space reflects our brand identity and delivers an innovative client experience. The work you do will impact beauty, as you lead the end-to-end design process - from concept to completion - bringing the physical expression of our brand to life across North America. You'll manage a talented team of Store Designers that's united in beauty, supported by those who are equally passionate about creating beautiful, functional, and cost-effective stores that elevate the Sephora experience.
 
What You'll Do:
  • Coach, lead, and inspire a high-performing team of Store Designers, providing guidance through design challenges, layouts, and storefront design while fostering a culture of collaboration and growth
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Real Estate, Retail Operations, Merchandising, and Property Development throughout all stages of store design to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Develop project scope of work, including review of codes, tenant criteria, merchandise requirements, and all relevant design elements to be incorporated into each project
  • Oversee quality control in partnership with third-party architecture firms, ensuring all drawings meet Sephora's design standards, are accurate throughout the project lifecycle, and support on-schedule construction
  • Lead design implementation from construction documentation through permitting, expertly communicating Sephora's brand point of view to external partners, landlords, and building officials
  • Provide input and feedback on store design tools, including templates, design guidelines, ideal plans, feasibility studies, and high-level gut checks
  • Navigate high-profile and complex projects, including special initiatives such as time studies and prototype/template standards development
  • Drive process evolution by introducing best-in-class industry practices and leading new process development as needed
  • Contribute fresh industry insights to continuously improve the delivery of on-brand, beautiful, functional, and cost-effective store designs
 
What You'll Bring:
  • 7+ years of experience in Retail Architecture, Retail Design, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience direct people leadership and managing high-performing design teams
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, with related experience in Retail Architecture, Retail Design, or a similar field
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); experience with visualization tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, or 3DS Max is a plus
  • Strong architectural design skills, including floor plans, interior elevations, storefront design, and construction documentation
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse teams, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders
  • Budget management proficiency, with the ability to oversee project budgets effectively while balancing cost, quality, and schedule
  • Strategic agility and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous situations and arrive at well-reasoned recommendations
  • High level of initiative, curiosity, and motivation, with an appetite for continuous improvement, a love of challenges, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves on projects of any size  #LI-SR1

What You'll Get: 

The annual base salary range for this position is $135.660,00 - $170.000,00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
