This role owns lab setup and upkeep, coordinates equipment procurement and facilities changes, and supports hands-on electronics builds/modifications while administering lab computing and network resources.

Responsibilities
The Position:
  • Set up, install, and maintain lab equipment and test environments to support product development.
  • Plan lab updates; specify, order, receive, and track equipment, tools, and parts.
  • Coordinate with Facilities on lab-room modifications, fixtures, furniture, and utilities needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and keep lab spaces organized, safe, and clean.
  • Modify and troubleshoot PCBs, fixtures, wiring, and electronic/electro-mechanical equipment (including small-scale soldering).
  • Provision and deploy lab computing devices; manage user accounts and basic system administration.
  • Maintain host security and patching, implement policies, and ensure backups for critical lab systems.
  • Design and maintain lab network topology; install/maintain wiring and networking equipment; apply security best practices.

The hourly wage range of $29 - $45 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
  • A.A. degree in Electronics Technology (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 6+ years of experience supporting or operating a laboratory environment.
  • Linux system administration experience (certification preferred).
  • Working knowledge of electronics, wiring, electrical safety, and use of hand/power tools.
  • Experience with soldering and PCB/equipment modification.
  • Networking fundamentals: Ethernet/IP and administration of network-connected devices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments; able to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs daily.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, and hand/arm movements).
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
