The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of a team of non-exempt Union employees in the Inventory Control Department. Candidate must also maintain inventory integrity through use of cycle counts and aggressive audit program of inbound and outbound shipments.

What you can expect:

  • Maintain Inventory integrity and storage capacities
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, providing guidance, direction, skill, and performance accountability in fair and consistent manner while always looking for ways to increase efficiencies
  • Manages processes and trainings associated with STASM/STASQ and stock consolidations
  • Oversee thorough training of new hires and temporary staffing, cross training as needed; Initiate and complete cross training in key positions to cover volume spikes, absenteeism, and vacations
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly capacity reports to Distribution Managers and Directors
  • Process bi-weekly employee payroll
  • Maintain safe and secure work environment at all times
  • Prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Communicate effectively through all levels of the organization, Work effectively within a team
  • Other tasks as required to meet team goals

Your profile:

  • Minimum education requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Management, or Logistics is preferred
  • 1-3 years leadership experience in Logistics / Distribution. Apparel/Retail background (preferred)
  • Able to work flexible hours; 45 - 50 hours per week with the expectation that overtime may be required
  • Availability and willingness to work any shift, as needed
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; Great team-building skills and impeccable integrity
  • Flexible; Able to prioritize multiple initiatives/tasks with a strict focus on deadlines; strong sense of urgency
  • Working knowledge with SAP EWM, Stasm/Stasq, MS Access, MS Excel
