About the Role

McKesson is seeking a Customer Technology Solutions Consultant to serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for customer connectivity and technology solutions. In this customer-facing role, you will partner with sales, implementation, product, and customer teams to help healthcare customers successfully evaluate, adopt, and maximize the value of McKesson technology solutions.

You will lead pre-sales discovery, solution demonstrations, onboarding readiness activities, customer education, and adoption initiatives that improve customer outcomes and drive business growth. This role combines consultative problem-solving, technical expertise, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary technology consultant for customers throughout the solution evaluation, onboarding, and adoption lifecycle.
  • Conduct customer discovery sessions to understand workflows, business challenges, and technology requirements.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, solution presentations, and technology consultations to prospective and existing customers.
  • Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities and recommend solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Develop customer adoption strategies and best-practice recommendations that drive technology utilization and customer value.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Connectivity, Implementation, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Translate customer business and technical requirements into actionable implementation and onboarding plans.
  • Identify project risks, onboarding challenges, and adoption barriers, and coordinate mitigation strategies.
  • Support go-live readiness activities and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
  • Deliver customer and internal sales team training on technology capabilities, workflows, and solution value propositions.
  • Participate in regional customer meetings, sales events, and business reviews.
  • Gather customer feedback and communicate insights that support product enhancements and continuous improvement.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in healthcare technology consulting, healthcare software, customer success, solutions consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting customer-facing presentations, product demonstrations, or solution consultations.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating customer needs into technology solutions.
  • Experience working directly with customers, healthcare providers, or healthcare organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Education & Typical Experience or Equivalent Combination: Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of healthcare technology, healthcare IT systems, connectivity solutions, EDI, interoperability, electronic ordering, or healthcare workflow automation.
  • Experience supporting SaaS, software implementation, customer onboarding, or technology adoption programs.
  • Experience in consultative selling, solution consulting, or sales engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with customer success methodologies and change management practices.
  • Experience collaborating across Sales, Product Management, Customer Success, and Implementation teams.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating implementation or business process risks.
  • Knowledge of distribution, supply chain, laboratory, or healthcare operational workflows.

Travel / Work Environment

  • Up to 20% travel required.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office and remote environment.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations, sales meetings, and company events as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of working on a computer and participating in virtual or in-person customer meetings.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$75,000 - $125,000
