CAD Designer - Valve Manufacturer

Title: CAD Designer - Valve Manufacturer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15642 (southeast Pittsburgh - Irwin area)
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000

Founded in the early 1900s we employ approximately 500 people worldwide, with about 150 employees at our Irwin, PA facility. We design and manufacture precision ball valves and flow control solutions for industries including chemical processing, energy, and industrial manufacturing. The Irwin site focuses on engineering design, product development, and technical support. As a CAD Designer, you will create and maintain engineering drawings and 3D models to support manufacturing and product development

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models of valve components
  • Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs), assembly views, and technical documentation
  • Revise drawings based on engineering changes and manufacturing feedback
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and CNC programming teams to resolve design issues
  • Ensure compliance with ASME Y14.5 and industry standards

What You Need for This Position

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Design or CAD Technology required
  • 2+ years CAD design experience in manufacturing
  • Proficiency in Creo (preferred), SolidWorks, or similar CAD software
  • Knowledge of machining processes and GD&T principles
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
