Job description

General Description

The Entry Press Brake Operator role is responsible for independently setting up tooling to bend and form various types of metal to standard for production line use.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for programming and operating a Cincinnati or Amada (down acting)hydraulic press brake.

  • Working knowledge of tooling in department assigned.

  • Interprets the Fab to Order and run parts in a timely manner.

  • Ability to write and setup programs for one and two bend jobs.

  • Identifies material types and practice proper disposal of scrap as set by QA.

  • Understands how to correctly use the following functions within JDE programing (i.e. sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban card status and history.)

  • Utilizes and maintains of Drawings, Non-Cad Process Sheets, Fab to Order and Operating Instructions.

  • Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures.

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.

  • Completes all required work within expected time requirements with excellent quality.

  • Models Team Member Expected Behaviors and Henny Penny core values

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • 1- 3 years of press brake operating experience

  • Ability to frequently move objects up to 100 lbs.

  • Completed the HP Press Brake Class or has previous Press Brake experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.

  • Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide)

  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as Kanban, JDE, BOM viewer, etc. Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

  • Basic computer skills

  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, background check screen, and motor vehicle screen (if applicable)
