Emergency Department Nurse

Job Title: Emergency Department Nurse

Experience: Minimum 1 year

License: Registered Nurse

Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS NIH TNCC

Must-Have: 2 years Emergency Department experience

Description: The unit has a total of 19 beds. There are 26 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) currently hired, with a core need of 33 staff members. The staffing configuration includes:

  • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Triage Nurse, 4 Bedside RNs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator, 1 Technician.
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Triage Nurse, 4 Bedside RNs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator, 1 Technician.

Patient ratios are typically 4:1 or 5:1. The unit utilizes Philips equipment and the Meditech EMR system. Candidates must possess skills in tPA, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care. A positive culture fit is essential for this role. Floating to other areas is not required. Scrub color is royal blue. Weekend shifts will rotate, but there is no on-call duty. Local candidates are preferred.
