Position: Entry-Level Insulation Installer
Location: Tonawanda, NY
Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00/hour, based on experience
What We Are Looking For
Are you interested in beginning a career in the insulation or energy industry? We are looking for a dependable, motivated individual who is eager to learn and comfortable working with their hands. No previous insulation experience is required-we provide company-paid, hands-on training.
As an Insulation Installer, you will learn how to install insulation and air-sealing materials that improve energy efficiency, reduce heat loss and airflow, and limit noise transfer. You will work alongside experienced team members in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings using fiberglass, foam, cellulose, and fireproofing materials.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is new to the field and wants to develop valuable trade skills while building a long-term career.
What You Will Do
  • Learn how to measure, cut, and install insulation in walls, floors, ceilings, attics, basements, and crawl spaces.
  • Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces and removing old insulation or debris.
  • Protect customer property by installing floor and wall coverings, warning signs, safety cones, and other protective materials.
  • Learn to safely operate blowers, staple guns, spray foam equipment, and other hand and power tools.
  • Follow all company and industry safety procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators or masks, gloves, safety glasses or goggles, boots, protective body coverings, and air-supplied hoods.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation and compliance with applicable standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate professionally with customers about the installation process, work scope, timeline, and required precautions.
  • Learn to identify and resolve common installation and equipment issues.
  • Read and follow jobsite instructions and work scopes.
  • Load and unload insulation materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites, vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment.
  • Report broken, worn, defective, or unsafe tools and equipment to a supervisor.
  • Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to jobsites as needed.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate respectfully with coworkers and customers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required by personnel so classified. Furthermore, they do not establish an employment contract and are subject to change at the discretion of the Company.
NOCO is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity in the workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
What You Will Need
  • No previous insulation experience required.
  • An interest in learning the insulation trade and developing hands-on construction skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Dependability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Willingness to learn how to use hand tools, power tools, and insulation equipment safely.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and move for extended periods.
  • Comfort working in hot, cold, dusty, indoor, and outdoor environments.
  • Comfort working in occupied residential homes and on active construction sites.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the assigned work location.
  • Construction, insulation, or trade experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to speak a language other than English is a plus.
