Job description

The NOC Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations within the Network Operations Center while serving as the first-level leader for NOC analysts and operators. This role is ideal for an experienced NOC professional ready to take the next step into leadership.

The NOC Supervisor ensures effective monitoring, incident response, and team coordination while developing strong operational discipline, communication, and accountability within the team.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Oversee day-to-day NOC shift operations in a 24/7 environment.
  • Leading a daily stand-up or shift turnover meeting.
  • Monitoring ticket queues to ensure proper prioritization and response.
  • Assisting with complex troubleshooting or escalations.
  • Conducting a scheduled 1:1 meeting with team members.
  • Approving PTO requests and adjusting staffing schedules.
  • Review and analyze network performance dashboards and identifying trends.
  • Coordinating with engineering teams on ongoing issues or planned changes.
  • Updating documentation and preparing operational reports.
  • Ensuring smooth handoff to the next shift.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a NOC, IT operations, or technical support role.
  • Demonstrated technical troubleshooting skills in:
  • TCP/IP networking fundamentals
  • Basic routing and switching concepts
