Job Description:
The NOC Operations Services and Planning Specialist supports Network Operations Control by providing scheduling, payroll, and labor support for Dispatchers, Meteorologists, and Network Operations Control Customer Planners. They'll partner with stakeholder groups to solve operational staffing challenges, audit scheduling and payroll activities, and monitor staffing trends to help maintain a safe and efficient operation. They'll ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements while serving as a resource for Contract Employees and supporting day-to-day labor needs. The NOC Operations Services and Planning Specialist leverages strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to support workforce planning, operational readiness, and the success of the NOC Team.

Responsibilities
  • Recognize and clearly define problems to systematically analyze and evaluate alternatives and propose solutions
  • Support and maintain standard annual, monthly, training, vacation, and daily schedules in the Company's scheduling system for Dispatchers, Meteorologists, ATC, Customer Planners, and Chiefs
  • Develop working knowledge of payroll processes/requirements, actively partners with Company Teams to manage issues/discrepancies, and serves as a check-and-balance for payroll activities conducted by the Team
  • Conduct audits, reporting, and ad hoc inquiries
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of scheduling and payroll procedures and systems
  • Skilled in understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Skilled in intermediate computer analysis and understanding common business software applications, as well as being able to learn and effectively use a variety of other software tools and applications
  • Skilled in identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Ability to apply work rules of collective bargaining agreements
  • Ability to analyze, handle & resolve complex project issues, make sound decisions and be able to interface well with People at all levels within the Company
  • Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with others

Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience
  • Entry level experience, developing skills and knowledge in:
    • Airline operations or equivalent operations experience, workforce management, payroll, and/or scheduling
    • Working with Union contract groups
    • Customer service and Hospitality
  • Preferred intermediate level experience using Tableau, Alteryx, Excel, and Jira

Pay & Benefits:
  • Competitive market salary from $70,200 per year to $78,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
