Job description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the MQ-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Enterprise Centralized Network Operations Center (C-NOC) at Creech AFB.

The C-NOC is the enterprise-level hub responsible for sustaining and securing the global network infrastructure that enables real-time MQ-9 aircraft command and control, ISR data transport, SATCOM connectivity, and secure boundary enforcement across CONUS and OCONUS operations.

This is a mission-critical engineering role supporting live flight operations with zero-fail expectations.


What You Will Support

  • Aircraft Control Network (ACN) - Transport, Combat, and Training enclaves
  • C2R secure boundary systems
  • Sensor Product Dissemination Network (SPDN) for ISR video/data distribution
  • Monics satellite carrier monitoring system
  • HAIPE encryption and red/black boundary architecture
  • SATCOM relay connectivity and transport infrastructure


Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Network Architecture & Engineering

  • Lead design, sustainment, and optimization of redundant ACN architecture
  • Engineer routing (OSPF, BGP), multicast (PIM), tunneling, and high-availability configurations
  • Configure and maintain Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, Juniper CTP devices, and HAIPE systems
  • Ensure secure red/black boundary enforcement within the MQ-9 enterprise

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Support RMF compliance and ATO sustainment
  • Implement STIG hardening and vulnerability remediation
  • Validate corrective actions and patch management
  • Maintain cybersecurity posture across enterprise enclaves

Operational Leadership (C-NOC)

  • Provide Tier 3 support for mission-impacting events
  • Lead troubleshooting bridges during live MQ-9 operations
  • Conduct flight-schedule-aligned network reconfigurations with rollback planning
  • Oversee configuration backup validation and disaster recovery processes

Enterprise Modernization

  • Evaluate integration impacts of new MQ-9 capabilities
  • Provide sustainment recommendations for emerging ISR technologies
  • Maintain updated network diagrams, SOPs, and configuration documentation


Required Experience

  • 5+ years enterprise network engineering experience (7+ preferred)
  • Experience in 24/7 NOC or mission-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of encrypted transport and boundary architectures
  • DoD, ISR, aviation, or SATCOM background preferred


Location: Creech Air Force Base, Nevada
Work Environment: On-Site at the Centralized Network Operations Center (C-NOC)
Schedule: 24/7/365 operational mission environment
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
