Job description

We are looking for a Jr. NOC Analyst to join our team!
 
You will proactively monitor and resolve all production alerts within IDT's 24x7x365 Global Network Operations team.
 
NOC Support Engineers monitor large networks and servers to detect hardware, software, or environmental malfunctions. When alerts trigger, they analyze the issue, determine the root cause, and perform network or software troubleshooting. 
 
Following standard operating procedures, they manage incident response and coordinate with site technicians, third-party vendors, or other IT teams to track and resolve problems.
 
Working Days: Tuesday to Saturday
At this position you will:
  • Proactively monitor all production networks, applications, and services.

  • Respond to & resolve alerts/alarms according to standard operating procedures.

  • Track all issues in a ticketing system.

  • Escalate alerts/issues to the appropriate Support team and work with the Support team towards a timely resolution.

  • Work with the following tools: Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Zabbix, Jira, Slack, etc.

Requirements:
  • 2 years of similar experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent monitoring / troubleshooting skills.

  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, Networks.

  • Working knowledge of issues / ticket track system.

  • Good level of English - B2 or higher. You will need to verbally explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Preferred certifications include Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL Foundation, or AWS/Azure Fundamentals.
  • Experience participating in high-priority incident bridge calls and writing post-mortem reports.

Nice to have:
  • New Relic (or Datadog or SolarWinds).

  • Splunk or other data log management tools like DynaTrace/Loggly/SumoLogic.

  • Linux/Unix - basic knowledge.

  • Networking (basic understanding of BGP, MPLS, OSPF protocols).
