Job Requirements
  • Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
  • Current BLS certification from AHA
  • PALS certification required
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care experience in the operating room or pediatric surgical setting
  • Kidney transplant experience required
  • Experience with pediatric OR, ambulatory OR, and pediatric trauma cases
  • Experience with Level I and Level II trauma environments
  • Strong familiarity with Epic documentation
  • Ability to complete pre-start telemetry testing with strict passing criteria
  • Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality perioperative care for pediatric surgical patients
  • Support a variety of procedures, including complex and transplant-related cases
  • Assist with surgical prep, intraoperative support, and specimen handling
  • Maintain strict infection control, fire safety, and universal protocol standards
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, respiratory services, and pharmacy teams
  • Respond to on-call needs during evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Float as needed to support operational coverage
