Job description

Description:Join a Growing Team That Takes Pride in Quality Craftsmanship

Cutting Edge Fabrication is a leading metal fabrication company producing medium to large, complex weldments and fabricated assemblies for customers in transportation, defense, aerospace, construction equipment, and other demanding industries.

For more than 30 years, we've built a reputation for quality, reliability, and tackling challenging projects. As we continue investing in our people, equipment, and capabilities, we're looking for skilled team members who want to help build the next chapter of our company's growth.

Our priorities are simple: safety, quality, and on-time delivery. We believe those priorities help us take care of both our employees and our customers. If you're someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be part of a team committed to continuous improvement, we'd like to talk with you.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder with proficiency in solid wire, metal-core, and flux-core welding processes.

In this role, you will weld medium to large fabricated components ranging from 11-gauge material to heavy plate. Most assemblies will arrive fit-up and ready to weld, though occasional fit-up work may be required. You'll work from blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions to produce high-quality weldments that meet customer and industry requirements.

Our team includes experienced welders and an on-staff Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) who is committed to helping employees develop their skills and succeed. This position may also provide opportunities to assist with qualification of new welding procedures as we continue expanding into new markets and industries.

Requirements:

Required

  • Experience MIG welding with solid wire, metal-core, and flux-core processes
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
  • Experience welding material ranging from light gauge to heavy plate
  • Ability to pass AWS D1.1 welding qualification tests
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
Preferred
  • Previous experience in a custom fabrication environment
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and handling large weldments
What We're Looking For
  • Someone who takes pride in producing quality work
  • A dependable teammate willing to help others succeed
  • A self-motivated individual who enjoys learning and continuous improvement
  • A problem solver who can identify issues and help develop solutions
  • A professional who values safety, quality, and accountability
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Retirement benefits
  • Opportunities for training, skill development, and career growth
  • Stable workload with a company committed to long-term success
