Job description

Job Title: Weld EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Weld Engineer to design and develop welding procedures and specifications. This role involves selecting appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and materials, inspecting welded components for quality and compliance, and collaborating with design, production, and quality teams. The successful candidate will troubleshoot welding defects, recommend improvements, and maintain documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop welding procedures and specifications.
  • Select appropriate welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
  • Inspect welded components for quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams.
  • Troubleshoot welding defects and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain documentation for traceability and regulatory compliance.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in welding techniques and processes such as MIG, TIG, SMAW, and FCAW.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
  • Strong understanding of welding engineering and weld codes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding processes, metallurgy, and CAD tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with AWS standards and other relevant standards.
  • Experience with audits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
