Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a night shift diagnostic radiology position requiring ARRT certification and competency in portable imaging.

Details
  • Work in a Diagnostic Radiology department at an academic medical center
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly
  • 0.9 FTE position
  • Weekend shifts required
  • No on-call requirements
  • Must be competent in performing portable imaging studies
  • Uses RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems for documentation and image management
Requirements
  • ARRT certification in Radiography required
  • Must maintain active registry status and annual continuing education requirements
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
  • Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required
  • No prior experience required
  • License required if applicable
  • Skilled in patient identity and demographic verification, image critique, and radiographic order analysis
  • Ability to assess patient physical condition and respond to emergency situations
Additional Information
  • Perform general diagnostic radiology procedures following departmental protocols and policies
  • Verify patient demographics, examination orders, and pregnancy status prior to imaging
  • Critique, orient, and transmit quality-assured images to PACS
  • Document completion or cancellation of procedures in RIS with appropriate comments
  • Maintain imaging equipment and report issues to appropriate resources
  • Review daily schedules and patient status to manage department workflow
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and document incidents as needed
  • Share technical knowledge with staff and students within the work unit
  • Must be able to work UNC holidays as needed
