We are currently seeking an Oil & Gas Title Attorney to join our dynamic legal team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience drafting title opinions for lands in New Mexico.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of oil and gas matters, including exploration, production, transportation, and sales.
  • Draft title opinions highlighting defects, liens, or other issues that could impact ownership or use of the property.
  • Analyze documents such as leases, contracts, and deeds.
  • Advise on compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and arbitration.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify legal risks and develop risk management strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in oil and gas law and industry trends.
  • Provide training to other departments on relevant legal issues.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in at least one state.
  • 1+ years experience drafting title opinions covering lands in New Mexico.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
