Job description

Hourly pay range: $25.62 min. - $38.64 max.


Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this position, under the supervision of an R.N., assists physicians and nurses in preparing for surgery and during surgical procedures; and performs related duties as required .


*1-2 years of surgical tech experience highly desired.


Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.


EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:


  1. High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
  2. Six months operating room experience with completion of formal Surgical Tech. Training Programs preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:


  1. CPR certification required.
  2. Requirement for Surgical Tech II in the Operating Room: One year of experience and Surgical Tech Certification (CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA) required.
  3. Requirement for Surgical Tech II in the GI Lab: Two years of experience and a GI Certification (SGNA in lieu of CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA) required.
