POSITION OVERVIEW – Software Tester- Telecommunications
The Software Tester is responsible for supporting the testing and quality assurance of mobile applications, software features, firmware, and device functionality throughout the software development life cycle. This role will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to identify and document software defects, execute functional and regression testing, analyze test results, and provide detailed feedback to development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Android platforms and mobile device ecosystems, with experience testing connectivity technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and 5G.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams throughout the software testing life cycle.
  • Detect, track, document, and communicate software defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies.
  • Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and performance test cases for mobile applications and system features.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports, documentation, and feedback to development teams.
  • Validate firmware, connectivity, and hardware/software interactions across mobile devices.
  • Perform testing of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, and other mobile connectivity technologies.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing in accordance with defined procedures, standards, and quality criteria.
  • Create and maintain test designs, testing processes, test cases, and test-product documentation.
  • Perform software testing throughout all phases of the software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
  • Ensure testing activities are completed according to established standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify issues and support timely resolution.
  • Manage multiple testing assignments simultaneously while effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 1–3 years of experience in mobile software testing, software QA, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of mobile Android OS platforms and device ecosystems.
  • Experience with functional, regression, performance, manual, and/or automated testing preferred.
  • Experience creating, executing, and maintaining software test cases.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
  • Understanding of software development and testing life cycle processes.
  • Experience testing mobile applications, devices, firmware, or connectivity is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, and/or 5G technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with mobile testing tools such as ADB, Jira, TestRail, or similar platforms is a plus.
