TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Downers Grove, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements
  • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department
  • Discipline: RN
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 12 hours, rotating
  • Employment Type: Travel

UNIT:  ER
CLINICAL INTERVIEW W/MGR APPROVAL

Minimum years of experience: 2 years of ER experience. Would prefer Level I Trauma experience but willing to consider those without.  Will consider first time traveler

Required Certifications:  BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC; CPI/MOAB preferred

Patient Types: Average visits/day: 120, Sepsis, DKA, MI, stroke, IVDA, ETOH, ortho-trauma.  Trauma โ€“ all types.  Predominantly 65+ with multiple comorbidities.  Heavy psych and addiction population.  Emergency scale โ€“ heavy 2-3โ€™s

Skills required:  Trauma experience (trauma cert required), stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, comfortability with vent management, management of critical care drips, TPA administration, conscious sedation, assisting with splinting.  Basic nursing knowledge โ€“ NGT placement, IV starts, foley placement, wound care.  Strong assessment skills, good communication skills, heavy focus on positive patient interaction and positive patient experience
