Job description

Plant Mechanic:

Competitive salary, Full-time, NO Weekends! We are looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic with at least 3 years of experience to start ASAP.

Do you enjoy using your hands to rebuild or maintain equipment ? Enjoy seeing the fruits of your labor pay off at the end of the day ? If so, we may have a great opportunity for you! A large company is in search of THREE individuals to fill a temp to hire opening for a Plant Mechanic in Durham, NC. This position works Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 2:30pm. It would be a plus if interested candidates had pneumatic/hydraulic and welding exposure.


Responsibilities of the Plant Mechanic:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on industrial machinery, including but not limited to motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Use diagnostic tools and meters to test and evaluate equipment functionality
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance and repair schedules
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
  • Document maintenance and repair activities using computerized maintenance management systems
  • Inspect, tests, & clean equipment to ensure that it is in proper working conditions.
Requirements of the Plant Mechanic:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Clean criminal background (unfortunately, no felony convictions)
  • Clean drug screening
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of machinery maintenance experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial maintenance

Salary: $24.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 36-40 per week
