Job description

Marquis Health Services has helped patients live their best possible lives in our facilities through a wide range of exceptional rehabilitative services.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Vice President of Plant Operations develops and administers programs for the physical appearance, maintenance, and overall operation of buildings, grounds, and equipment across our twenty-eight (28) New England facilities.


Full-time opportunity

Salary range 175k - 200K

Responsibilities for Vice President of Plant Operations:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of plant operations, maintenance, construction, and capital improvement initiatives across multiple facilities.

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee three (3) Regional Directors of Plant Operations and facility Maintenance Directors.

  • Plan and oversee capital projects, major repairs, renovations, and new construction projects.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for construction projects, contractors, vendors, and other external partners.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for the efficient operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, and physical plant systems.

  • Ensure facilities comply with applicable federal and state nursing home and assisted living regulations, Life Safety Code requirements, Joint Commission standards, OSHA standards, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs and schedules to keep facilities and equipment safe, functional, and well-maintained.

  • Establish priorities for repair and maintenance work to minimize disruption to facility operations and provide efficient, cost-effective services.

  • Ensure the appropriate and consistent use of facility work order systems.

  • Monitor resource utilization, maintenance costs, capital expenditures, and departmental performance to identify opportunities for operational improvement.

  • Partner with facility and corporate leadership to address plant operations concerns and support organizational goals.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for Vice President of Plant Operations:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Plant Operations experience within Skilled Nursing Facilities required.

  • Healthcare experience required.

  • Multi-facility and regional leadership experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience overseeing facility maintenance, capital projects, renovations, construction, and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare facility regulations, Life Safety Code requirements, Joint Commission standards, and OSHA regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and support regional and facility-level maintenance teams.

  • Strong project management, organizational, problem-solving, and financial management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, facility teams, contractors, and vendors.

  • Ability to travel throughout the New England region as needed.
