About the Opportunity

Precision Pipeline Solutions is seeking an experienced and safety-driven Meter Reader Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our Meter Reading department. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, regulatory compliance, and efficient workforce management while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a confident leader, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced field environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership

  • Maintain an unwavering commitment to safety in all daily operations.
  • Lead safety meetings, conduct field audits, and ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Reinforce safe work practices through job briefings and continuous safety awareness.

Operational Management

  • Coordinate and supervise daily meter reading activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness,
  • Manage monthly route schedules that maximize workforce efficiency.
  • Manage and report skipped meters.
  • Troubleshoot handheld meter reading equipment and escalate technical issues when necessary.
  • Conduct regular field observations to ensure quality, compliance, and operational consistency.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Train new employees with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Conduct mid-year and year-end performance reviews.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities for team members.
  • Set clear priorities, coordinate work with other supervisors, and foster open, honest communication.
  • Lead by example, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and proactively address customer needs.
  • Communicate company standards professionally through written and verbal correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Administrative & Strategic Responsibilities

  • Schedule work in alignment with departmental budgets and operational goals.
  • Report project progress to management and identify potential risks or delays.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business unit.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and best practices.
  • Support storm restoration activities as needed, including supervision of Hazard Responders.
  • Maintain a work schedule that includes availability before and after meter reader shifts to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4 years without a degree.
  • Related experience includes leadership, coaching, customer service, planning, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
  • Experience leading teams and driving performance improvements.

Preferred

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Meter reading experience and storm restoration knowledge.
  • Familiarity with operational systems.
  • Experience in process improvement, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
