Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general labor tasks to support heavy civil construction, working closely with heavy equipment operatorsin congestedor tight areasto ensure efficient site preparation

  • Assistwith tasks such as trenching, material handlingand cutting and clueing conduit piping

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with crew members, supervisors, and subcontractors

  • Promote a culture of safety and productivity by following all company, client, and regulatory safety standards and procedures

Qualifications

  • One-yearprior experienceworking in a mining, utilities or earth works environmentas alaborer;a background as a track hoe orskidsteeroperatorispreferred

  • Proactive and independentself-starterwho issafetyfocused

  • Basic understanding of construction site safety practices;OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus

  • Must be able to pass pre-accessdrug and alcohol testandprovideda valid driver's license

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday working from7am to3pm, working8hours per day, overtime rates apply after40 hoursworked per week and could be available at thediscretionof the client

  • Living out allowance provided to those that are eligible

  • This is along term,site-basedopportunitythat will require travel
