Job description

Role: Sr Backend Java Developer

Location: Tampa, FL

Duration: 6 months C2H

Rate: Market

Need only W2 consultants

Interview: Video round followed by F2F

Project:

  • Modernization – re-write mainframe legacy applications into modern Java-based microservices to handle high-volume trade-clearing and fund-settlement workflows.
  • Teams:  Part of a SQUAD in an Agile-type environment:  1 of 12 members on the Squad made up of mostly Java developers.
  • Will be moving everything to AWS at one point next year so candidates should have AWS experience.
  • Build and enhance high-performance, fault-tolerant Java services that ingest and route large volumes of trades and fund data through MQ/Kafka pipelines.

Experience:

  • Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, IBM MQ
  • Trades/funds come in to client's and they are all processed by these applications using MQ to route to the correct place.
  • These applications process tens of millions of trades daily, must be able to optimize code to run faster, develop for cpu memory efficiency, garbage collection.
  • App handles the post trade lifecycle and through the application the trade is confirmed, matched, allocated correctly, and then settled.

Candidates must be have experience with high performance Java applications and MQ/Kafka environments.
