Position Summary

The Accounting Analyst supports the Pharmacy Benefit Manager's (PBM) accounting organization by handling core accounting and reporting functions that keep daily operations running accurately and on time. This role is a strong starting point for someone who wants to build a career in healthcare finance, with hands-on exposure to general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial controls.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the achievement of an accurate and timely month end close.

  • Complete reports for upper management, finance liaisons and business owners to both interpret results of operations and forecast any necessary changes.

  • Identify recurring issues, control gaps, or process improvement opportunities and communicate recommendations

  • Support Internal and External Auditors as they complete the financial statement and internal controls audits.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of working experience (internships do count)
  • At least 1 year of experience in Accounting or Finance(studying Accounting/Finance would count)
  • At least 1 year of experience in Excel and/or analytical roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of professional work experience
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and monthend close
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required, concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
