Job description

We are looking for a highly organized Creditors' Rights Paralegal to support a legal team handling matters related to foreclosure, bankruptcy, and creditor representation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This contract-to-permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to active civil litigation files, assist with discovery and trial preparation, and help keep cases moving efficiently from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working with case management software in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Support attorneys with day-to-day management of creditors' rights matters, including foreclosure and bankruptcy-related files.
โ€ข Prepare, organize, and track discovery materials, court filings, and case documents to help maintain accurate and timely records.
โ€ข Coordinate trial preparation activities by assembling exhibits, summaries, chronologies, and other supporting materials for hearings and proceedings.
โ€ข Monitor deadlines, court dates, and case milestones to ensure litigation matters progress according to schedule.
โ€ข Maintain and update information in case management software to support efficient file organization and reporting.
โ€ข Assist with drafting routine legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings for attorney review in civil litigation matters.
โ€ข Communicate with clients, courts, and outside parties in a clear and organized manner regarding case status and documentation needs.โ€ข Prior paralegal experience supporting creditors' rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or related civil litigation matters.
โ€ข Working knowledge of discovery processes, litigation documentation, and trial preparation activities.
โ€ข Ability to manage multiple files at once while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
โ€ข Experience using case management software and other legal technology tools in a legal support setting.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
โ€ข Familiarity with creditor representation workflows and legal procedures relevant to collections, foreclosure, or bankruptcy matters.
โ€ข Paralegal training, certification, or equivalent practical experience in a legal support role.
