Join the Degan, Blanchard & Nash team, where we specialize in insurance defense. Our firm is committed to delivering exceptional legal services, and we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to support our attorneys in delivering top-tier legal representation to our clients. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in preparing and organizing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and gather case-related information.
  • Coordinate and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
  • Prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in the case.
  • Manage attorney calendars, scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings.
  • File legal documents with the court and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial exhibits and other materials.
  • Paralegals are expected to have 120 billable hours per month


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, preferably in insurance defense or civil litigation.
  • Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
