Location: Hopkins, Minnesota (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Software Developer to support our client's Card Modernization project. This role involves participating in technical requirement gathering sessions and developing code to automate processes using AI and other automation algorithms. The objective is to reduce development hours and enhance system efficiency. You will provide daily support of ITSM tools, including scripting, configuration, integrations, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support of ITSM tools, including scripting, configuration, integrations, and administration.
  • Gather business requirements from functional teams for each module of the system.
  • Develop system testing procedures and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop workflows, JavaScript routines, and other configurations to customize the system per business requirements.
  • Build and update documentation to ensure standard procedures and knowledge transfer.
  • Design and implement auto-failover and failback solutions (active/standby, preferred DC routing).
  • Contribute to application-aware resiliency and disaster recovery architectures.
  • Maintain communication with management and customers regarding system status.
  • Participate in change management, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
  • Support disaster recovery drills and switch-away exercises.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related IT field is required.
Experience: 0-1 years of experience using ITSM systems such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience developing with JavaScript, XML, and HTML.
  • Expertise with F5 GTM/LTM.
  • Knowledge of application-aware health monitoring and DNS-based failover design.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTP(S), TLS, DNS, and latency considerations.
  • Familiarity with microservices, APIs, gateways, and ingress patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with canary / blue-green deployments and safe rollout patterns.
  • Experience with configuration standards, documentation, and peer review discipline.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and false-failover mitigation techniques.
