Evergreen Forest Products is hiring CDL A Dedicated Local Wood Bi-Products Drivers in Opelika and Prattville, AL. EFP encourages those without high school diploma, GED, or college degree to apply. This job is a good fit for applicants with a gap in their resume or those who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more.

Compensation

  • Average weekly pay: $1,200 - $1,700+
    • Competitive pay by the load

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Home time: Home daily
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10-12 hours per day
    • Optional Saturday work sometimes available
  • Shift: Day shift & night shift available
    • Day shift starting around 5:00am
    • Night shift starting between 3:00 - 4:00pm
  • Route: Within 150 miles of Opelika/Prattville AL
  • Level of Touch: No touch freight
    • Drivers will be responsible for placing/removinga lightweight roll tarp over top of the trailer

Equipment

  • Truck fleet is less than 5 years old!
  • Freightliner Cascadia day cab trucks
  • Automatic transmission
  • Governed speed: 70 mphon cruise, 68 mph on the pedal
  • Samsara inward & outward facing cameras
  • Open top chip van trailer

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
  • No DUI/DWIs in last 5 years
  • No more than 2 driving infractions in the last 3 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen& background check
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 35 miles of Opelika or Prattville, AL
