Job description

Ranger/Loss Prevention Agent

The Ranger/Loss Prevention Agent is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property within the Resort. This role involves a combination of guest service, security monitoring, enforcement of park rules and policies, and emergency response. The ideal candidate will work proactively to prevent issues, support a positive guest experience, and respond effectively to any incidents that arise.

This is a part-time evening position working an eight-hour shift from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., three or four nights a week including some weekends and holidays.

Job Duties
  • Patrol of the resort to observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions. Evaluate situations and make logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work.
  • Prevent speeding throughout the resort.
  • Maintain order at the resort, dealing with the welfare of guests, assisting with door lock problems, coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner. Handle undesired conduct, violations of resort policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, employees, patrons and property.
  • Answer security/safety hotline calls and respond in a timely manner based on priority.
  • Memorize and monitor life safety system including accurate layout of resort, locations of standpipes, fire extinguishers, complete alarm reports and checks and report any pertinent information from each shift.
  • Observe monitors for any unusual activity and in the case of suspicious behavior report directly, via radio, to the supervisor on duty; report any alarms similarly
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or General Manager
Requirements

As a resort Loss Prevent Agent, you must be hard-working, reliable and focused on providing exceptional customer service. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a campground or RV resort, preferred.
  • Prior law enforcement, security or military experience, preferred.
  • Ability to endure seasonal temperatures and weather as working conditions require constant outdoor work.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to provide legible written reports.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet.
