The job will be located at our production site in Iron County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.


We are seeking Warehouse Material Handler (FIRST SHIFT) to work in our Warehouse. We are looking for a dependable, detail focused, team-oriented person to help receive material into our plant and help prepare product for shipment in our warehouse. Schedule flexibility, accountability, and a safety-first mindset are a must.


Responsibilities Include:

1. Receive and document shipments from suppliers/vendors and deliver to appropriate department/areas timely. Note any exceptions and informing Purchasing, then submit PO & Receiver Documents to Account Payables.

2. Pick up outbound shipments from departments according to procedures.

3. Prepare and stage shipments ensure all quantities and quality match customer PICK sheet.

4. Use forklift to transport pallets to warehouse locations.

5. Stack material and ensure product description tags are on products.

6. Enter data/information into ERP or other systems as needed.

7. Accurately enter shipping information via Fed Ex/UPS or other shipping software.

8. Assist in cross-training of employees within warehouse operations.

9. Follow safe practices in job performance, including following Hazmat procedures.

10. Follow the 5S program to ensure areas are organized and cleaned and look for continuous 5S solutions.

11. Understand and support the ISO 9001/ISO 14001 Integrated Management System

Requirements

We seek the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Warehouse/distribution or Mill operations
  • Basic computer skills, shipping system experience (Fed Ex/UPS) a plus.
  • Forklift experience/certification
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organizational skills.
