UnityPoint Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care, walk-in care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the area’s clinics are improving outcomes, lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and well-being.

  • Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic
  • Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences
  • Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community
  • Full-time position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

  • Average of 18 patients per day; no nights or weekends, 4.5 day work week
  • Call schedule: After hours outpatient call - 1 weekend a month- 1-2 nights a month - triaged by MyNurse
  • Dedicated roomer, shared phone nurse, attached to the hospital with lab and x-ray
  • Office services & procedures: cryotherapy, ear flush, open to any procedures
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
  • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • J-1 & H1B Sponsorship Available

We offer

  • Initial 2-year salary guarantee of approximately $225,000 - $320,000 with the ability to exceed compensation and receive 100% of the upside on an innovative compensation program.
    • Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on an individual’s qualifications.  The pay range does not include other forms of incentives which may include bonuses or differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
