POSITION SUMMARY:
Rigging Loft Technician Prepares tools, equipment and expendable supplies for issue to sites, maintains records of issued tools, and monitors the tool inventory; receives new tools into the facility and cleans and may perform routine preventative maintenance on basic hand tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, rigging equipment, welding equipment and expendable supplies.
  • Issues tools and equipment for shipment and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.
  • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.
  • Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and repairs or replace as necessary.
  • Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Follow all safety standards and company policies

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to perform each essential duty daily.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent educational experience.
  • One-year work experience preferably with welding manufacturing company.
  • Prefer experience with equipment and tool maintenance and repair.
  • Experienced with MS Word & Excel, including data management and organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   • Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
  • Physically fit to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions.
  • Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Industrial warehouse and manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, and overhead cranes.
  • Use of PPE such as gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear is required.
  • Interaction with team members, leads, and supervisors is frequent and necessary.
