Job Title: Locum Oncology/Hematology Provider
Profession: Physician

License: Active State License Preferred

Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
DEA verbal confirmation required
Description:
Seeking a locum oncology/hematology provider to join a clinical patient care team.
The position requires performing tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist.
Coverage is needed for full-time, 4 weeks a month.
The clinical setting is an outpatient free-standing cancer center.
The reason for coverage is due to physician retirement and relocations.
The average number of patients seen per day is 10-15 in the outpatient clinic.
The practice focuses primarily on oncology, with most benign hematology cases referred out.
The call schedule includes 7 days of call, rotating every 1 in 4 weeks, which includes one weekend.
Clienttion oncologists will be present during coverage.
There are currently two advanced practice providers available for patient coverage.
Average daily patient interactions are primarily outpatient unless patients are admitted for inpatient chemotherapy.
Expected credentialing timeframe is 6-8 weeks.
