Child Care Lead Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team in John's Creek, GA. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment that supports the growth and development of young children. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Lead and supervise classroom staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets all licensing and regulatory standards.
- Observe and assess children's progress and development, maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with parents.
- Foster positive relationships with children and families, encouraging open communication and involvement.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to child care and early education.
- Collaborate with center leadership and other teachers to support overall program goals and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a lead teacher role preferred.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to pass background checks and meet all state licensing requirements.
- Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and learning.
Work Environment
This position is based in a child care center environment in John's Creek, GA. The Lead Teacher will work primarily indoors with children aged infant to preschool. The role requires physical activity including lifting, bending, and engaging with children throughout the day.
