Role Description Mercor is seeking PhD holders, doctoral candidates, and exceptional Master's graduates in chemistry and related fields to join a high‐impact AI research initiative in collaboration with a leading artificial intelligence lab. This position focuses on evaluating and improving large language models (LLMs) by leveraging deep subject‐matter expertise in chemistry to rigorously assess model accuracy, reasoning, and scientific depth across advanced chemical disciplines. Key Domains General Chemistry Organic Chemistry Inorganic Chemistry Analytical Chemistry Physical Chemistry Electrochemistry Polymer Chemistry Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Medicinal Chemistry Radiochemistry Chemical Engineering and Technology Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer in Chemical Engineering Mass Transport and Separation Processes Chemical Reaction Engineering Key Responsibilities Evaluate the scientific accuracy, reasoning, and technical rigor of LLM‐generated content across chemical disciplines.

Review outputs on topics spanning molecular structure, kinetics, thermodynamics, catalysis, reaction mechanisms, and industrial processes.
