Job description

Title: Information Technology Generalist V (Senior)  

Clearance Type: None

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide senior level technical support, analysis, and guidance across IT systems, networks, and applications.
  • Support program offices in the planning, coordination, and execution of IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with DoD and Department of the Navy (DoN) technology policies and standards.
  • Manage and maintain documentation within Navy IT systems such as NMCI, DITPR DON, and DADMS, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
  • Assist with system lifecycle management including requirements analysis, configuration management, application tracking, and system accreditation activities.
  • Analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to maintain optimal system performance and cybersecurity posture.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to support IT modernization, process improvements, and technology integration efforts.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and technical documentation to support leadership decision making.
  • Ensure all IT processes adhere to DoD, DON, and NAVSEA cybersecurity and information assurance policies.
  • At least 10 years of experience and Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.  

Desired:

  • Have a DoD-approved Information Assurance baseline certification at Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I in accordance with DoD Directive 8570.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program).  
  • Experience with Navy IT systems including Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), DoD Information Technology Portfolio Repository-DoN (DITPR-DON), DoN Application and Database Management System (DADMS).
