What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a New Mexico State Police Officer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a New Mexico State Police Officer, you need a solid understanding of law enforcement principles, physical fitness, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with police academy training required. Familiarity with law enforcement databases, report-writing software, and the use of firearms and other police equipment is essential.
