Job description

The Material Handler performs physical and clerical duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing, selecting, and staging of tires, related materials, and equipment within Toyo Tire's high-volume Ontario warehouse. The Ontario operation supports nearly one million square feet of warehousing and ships approximately 25,000 to 30,000 tires per day, requiring accuracy, efficiency, teamwork, and a strong commitment to warehouse safety.
The hours of operation for this shift is 5am - 1:30pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Load, unload, check and tally tires to and from carriers
  • Store tires in assigned warehouse locations
  • Select, pack, mark and palletize tires for customer orders and places them in assigned staging areas
  • Check and verify accuracy of selecting, packing, marking and counting of tires for customer orders
  • Operate forklifts, squeeze lifts, and other equipment in the execution of these duties
  • Perform required counting, tallying, and marking on related inventory control
  • Document paperwork pertaining to each warehouse function to ensure it is accurate and complete
  • Participate in all inventories taken at the warehouse
  • Perform housekeeping duties by palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking tires to conform to standards and objectives set by management
  • Perform other misc. warehouse-related and housekeeping duties set forth by management
  • Other duties as assigned

The pay rate for the position is $21.00 per hour

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
