Job description

Right in the heart of State College, PA you will find the newest entertainment destination. Happy Valley Casino has taken over in The Nittany Mall, bringing the area's first-ever gaming facility! With two dining options, cocktail service, 30+ table games, and over 600slot machines, we are sure to be the number one entertainment destination in Happy Valley!

We are looking for an EVS Attendant to join our Facilities team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members throughout the property. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to providing exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.

This position will report directly to the Facilities Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Performing housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout all public and back-of-house areas.
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining floors and wall fixtures.
  • Collecting, removing, and properly disposing of trash and other waste materials.
  • Cleaning and maintaining restrooms, guest areas, employee spaces, and other assigned locations.
  • Ensuring all assigned areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Responding promptly to cleaning needs and incidents throughout the property.
  • Promoting positive guest interactions and outstanding customer relations.
  • Maintaining compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Supporting department operations and assisting with additional duties as assigned.
  • Working any shift as required to support business needs, including emergency or special cleaning situations.
The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of public area cleaning, housekeeping, environmental services, or related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licensure through the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.

Casino employees may be required to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License. The cost of licensure is covered by Happy Valley Casino.
