Job Title: Communications Technician - Expert level Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Joint Counterintelligence Training Activity (JCITA) program is the crown jewel of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) enterprise in enabling CI personnel in their mission to protect our nation from adversarial threats. CI Agents' abilities to counter espionage, terrorism, and insider threats hinge upon JCITA's advanced CI training. From its inception, our JCITA Instructor program has grown and evolved well past the original vision. Changes in the CI landscape have necessitated the support of an agile, innovative team, and a solid business partner in CACI, to ensure the program continues to deliver the quantity and quality of training for a successful DoD CI program. Responsibilities: The Expert Electronics and Communications Technician shall provide an electronics and communication technician who possesses experience researching, planning, and implementing all technical communications, OF/Microwave tracking, and overt/covert video and photography activities in support of courses at JCITA in accordance with all federal laws and regulations. The Electronics and Communications Technician will install and maintain radio communications for the entire JCITA fleet and install, operate, maintain, and repair all communications equipment during local and field exercises for validated requirements. This equipment includes radio, surveillance, photography, blue force tracking, cellular, microwave, detection, geo-tagging, and many other devices, as required. The Electronics and Communications Technician will provide to the Government research on technical equipment recommendations to support all JCITA courses, create course materials and lesson plans about the use of technical equipment, and implement and instruct the use of all electronic equipment for JCITA. The Electronics and Communications Technician will develop and implement usage policies in accordance with course requirements and specifications and shall provide and maintain 250+ cellular devices {smartphones, hotspots, static SIM cards, etc.) to include services used as training aids to ensure the phones/devices have the most current operating system and comply with JCITA standard configuration. This contractor must also maintain a surveillance mapping system. Qualifications: Ten (10) years of relevant experience and knowledge of basic electronics, electronic theory, electronic equipment maintenance, radio propagation, AC/DC power applications. Experience with cellular, GSM, satellite networks, surveillance kits, wireless technologies, PC-based software programs (Windows XP/NT/2000, Microsoft Office, Visio), Motorola P25 VHF radio systems, Motorola Portable Digital Repeaters, Portable Progra1nming Assistant, Motorola Key Variable Loader, Motorola Radio Service Software, photography equipment (Nikon SLR, Panasonic, Sony), mapping software• technologies, geo-tagging devices and software, discreet surveillance equipment, Nanocam technology, DVR operations, AN Recorders, and Advanced Encryption Standard/Data Encryption Standard code configurations.
