NDDC Assortment Planner, NA
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll be part of Nike Direct's Assortment Planning team, partnering closely with Merchandising, Planning, Marketplace, Finance, and Business Unit teams to align consumer demand with profitable growth. This role reports into the Planning organization and collaborates across cross-functional teams to drive assortment, inventory, pricing, and forecasting decisions that shape the Nike Direct business.

They bring a strong foundation in assortment planning, inventory management, forecasting, or merchandising, paired with the ability to influence partners through compelling storytelling and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by balancing strategic thinking with operational execution. They excel at building scalable processes, maintaining data integrity, and driving business outcomes through collaboration. Strong communication skills and a consumer-first mindset are essential, as this role regularly engages with partners across multiple levels of the organization to support key planning and pricing decisions.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in retail planning, merchandising, inventory management, forecasting, or related disciplines
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Retail Management, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, forecasting, and analytical modeling
  • Experience presenting data-driven recommendations to business partners and leadership audiences preferred
  • Experience working in a retail, consumer products, or marketplace environment strongly preferred
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will help shape the financial and inventory strategy that powers Nike Direct's product assortment across North America. By combining analytics, forecasting, pricing insights, and cross-functional collaboration, you'll ensure the right product is available at the right time, in the right place, and at the right price to serve consumers and deliver business results.
  • Support product forecasting and pricing strategies by analyzing performance trends, managing reporting tools, and delivering actionable business insights
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting solutions used across the planning team to improve decision-making and operational efficiency
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and communicate weekly variance analyses, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to key stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Merchandising, Marketplace, Finance, and Inventory Planning teams to align seasonal and in-season financial plans with product strategies
  • Lead weekly markdown execution across assigned portfolios, ensuring system accuracy and cross-functional alignment with pricing and inventory objectives
  • Monitor price positioning across the marketplace and product portfolio, identifying opportunities to optimize pricing in support of overall business strategy
  • Manage inventory health throughout the product lifecycle by supporting seasonal inventory planning, closeout strategies, aging inventory actions, and open-to-buy management initiatives
