Principal, Partner Management - Domestic Manufacturing

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
In Footwear Supply Chain, we are building a more responsive, resilient, and future-ready manufacturing network. This role will work across Manufacturing Engineering, Product Creation, Materials Supply Chain, Product Integrity, Planning, Logistics, Legal, Finance, Innovation, and external partners to help build Nike's emerging domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
You will report to the VP of Footwear Manufacturing and partner closely with teams across Nike to operationalize new manufacturing capabilities, establish scalable partner models, and create the processes required to support future growth.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a leader who thrives in ambiguous environments and enjoys building something new.
The successful candidate is naturally curious, technically inclined, and comfortable learning new technologies, manufacturing models, and business processes. They bring structure to complex problems, create clarity across teams, and help translate early-stage opportunities into scalable capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in footwear, chemical engineering, chemistry, polymers, or a related sub-specialty
  • Experience in leading complex cross-functional initiatives and working in matrix organizations. Footwear industry experience preferred;
  • Had experience to deal with external supplier, vendor, or manufacturing partner relationships is beneficial but not required
  • Strong leadership, influencing, communication, project management, and time management skills
  • Strategic thinker who builds strong relationships across internal and external partners, including suppliers and vendors

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Your day-to-day activities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading strategic engagement with key domestic manufacturing partners
  • Building governance models and operating routines
  • Managing risk, performance, and capability development efforts
  • Supporting onboarding and integration of new manufacturing partners
  • Coordinating cross-functional initiatives required to scale domestic manufacturing
  • Driving capacity planning, readiness reviews, and milestone management
  • Supporting commercialization of emerging manufacturing technologies and methods of make
  • Developing frameworks and playbooks for future partner onboarding
  • Building strong working relationships across Nike and external organizations
  • Supporting strategic partnership evaluations and future manufacturing opportunities
  • Communicating progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership teams
  • Contributing to broader Footwear Supply Chain Manufacturing priorities and transformation initiatives as business needs evolve
