Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced High Risk Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 1:1 patient ratios and Epic charting experience.

Details
  • Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care, teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
  • High risk Labor and Delivery patient population
  • Facility performs 200-300 births per month
  • 1:1 patient ratios
  • Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Float to postpartum unit as needed within scope of practice
  • Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR
Requirements
  • Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
  • Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and Advanced NRP required
  • AWHONN Intermediate and FHM certifications preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
  • Epic/Excellian charting experience required
  • Experience with C-sections, PPTL, D&C, cerclage placement/removal, and waterbirth
  • Skilled in high-risk delivery, vaginal delivery assistance, and IV therapy
  • 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and surgical procedures such as cervical cerclage and tubal ligation
  • Manage complex conditions including preeclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and preterm labor
  • Support neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation
  • Scrubs are provided by the unit
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside 100 miles or more from the facility
  • RTO should ideally not exceed 5 days during the assignment
  • Returning staff must have been separated from perm employment (staff or per diem) for at least 3 months
  • Float requirements may extend to affiliate hospitals nearby
