Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Adult Unit night shift position requiring a current WI or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details
  • Work in the Medical Unit of a hospital and trauma center setting
  • Adult medical-surgical patient population
  • Night shift schedule (6:30P-7A), 12-hour shifts
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Required to work every other weekend and holiday
  • Floating to other units may be required
Requirements
  • Active WI RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experienced nurses preferred
  • Flu vaccination required
  • Education verification required
Additional Information
  • Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
  • Document patient care according to established standards of care
  • Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family instruction
  • Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of patients' longitudinal plans of care
  • Apply critical thinking to patient safety and patient experience, escalating concerns through appropriate channels as needed
  • Holiday coverage required as part of the scheduling rotation
