Job description

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Cleanroom/Custodian Technician I Temp - Night Shift. This position will be located in Rolla, MO.
Summary:
Cleanroom/Custodian Technicians are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and compliance of controlled environments such as Class 100 and 1000 cleanrooms, labs, and chemical manufacturing areas. They perform routine and advanced cleaning tasks, manage cleanroom garment and supply inventories, and ensure adherence to contamination control standards. Higher-level roles involve data tracking, training, vendor coordination, and process improvement across multiple departments and locations. These positions play a critical role in supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations by upholding strict environmental and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Clean Class 100 and Class 1000 cleanrooms and gowning areas daily using approved protocols.
  • Wet mop floors and gowning areas; wipe down horizontal surfaces; perform damp specialized cloth dusting; and operate vacuum and wet/dry vacuum equipment.
  • Empty trash, recyclables, and hazardous/combustible waste safely and according to SOPs.
  • Restock cleanroom supply cabinets daily, including garments, gloves, consumables, and clean room suits when returned from cleaning.
  • Remove used cleanroom garments and lab coats for laundering; bundle and take clean room suits to dock; assist in basic garment inventory handling.
  • Maintain particle count logs.
  • Remove and stage wafers for reclaim or recycle shipments.
  • Assist with cleaning of the R&D cleanroom as needed.
  • Check and restock first aid kits and fire extinguishers in assigned areas.
  • Maintain restrooms, common areas, and overall facility cleanliness, including refilling supplies as needed.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices in all assigned areas, including chemical storage, clutter, supply storage, and wafer storage.
  • Follow established cleanroom procedures for contamination control and particle reduction.
  • Perform minor building maintenance as needed, including light bulbs, filters, and other building-related items.
  • Perform cleaning of floors, waxing, carpet cleaning, and dusting and cleaning of windows, blinds, and surfaces as needed.
  • Assist in moving furniture, office items, tables, and chairs for specific events when required.
  • Maintain, clean, and up-keep custodial tools and cleaning equipment.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand/walk and occasionally sit.
  • Occasionally required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Sporadically required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Education & Credentials:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Work Hours:
  • Flexible evening shift schedule, Monday-Friday - choose between a 3:00 PM-11:00 PM or 4:00 PM-12:00 AM shift. No weekend work required.
